Between 1984 and 1986 Lange had performed in a handful of shows as a solo act called EACHONETEACHONE. In 1984 E1T1 went into the studio to record a 5 track demo. In 1986 Lange and Michele met in a modern art class at college. Both were very interested in performance art, the dada movement and the underground music scenes of post-punk and new wave. Lange asked Michele to help create a stage set for his show with slide projections of Michele’s artwork, video loops of self-shot video, and various found objects, mostly old clocks.

Lange jumped back into the recording studio in 1987, this time at The Loft in Bronxville, NY. Although the session began as Each One Teach One, the new duo was formed when Michele was asked to contribute backing vocals.

Taking the name from Michele’s passion for the color Blue and Lange’s obsession with an old he kept after his mother’s death, Blue Clocks Green was formed. (Green being added to include a non-stage participating member.)

Blue Clocks Green took to the stage with an all electronic sound, backed by spoken word, video tape, slide projections, dialogue records, TV’s displaying static, and a collection of objects which included the broken clock.

In 1988 Blue Clocks Green released their first 7 inch single called "Hemingway" The minor success led them to remix the track and release it as a 12 Inch version with various mixes. The 12 Inch Single of "Hemingway" received airplay on over 150 college and alternative radio stations throughout the US and went number 1 and top ten on several dozen. Additionally, the song became a hit with the dance crowd at several alternative clubs throughout the US.  But do due the graphic lyrics, the song was banned by many stations and college radio administrators, which ironically established and solidified it's underground cult status.

In late 1989. Blue Clocks Green released an upbeat cover version of the 1940’s hit "Stormy Weather". The song was moderately received and so was scratched form their repertoire for live gigs.

A follow-up original called "Save Yourself Then The World" was released on vinyl in 1990. The song received considerable airplay, but with no official album out, the band fell under the radar of record execs now looking to capitalize on the new grunge sound exploding out of Seatle.

Blue Clocks Green appeared on numerous local TV and radio shows in the New York Area and did one minor radio promo tour from Detroit to NYC.

After 1990, the duo stopped recording and performing as Blue Clocks Green.

Michele continues to create art work and currently shows her new pieces of 3 dimensional book assemblages in galleries throughout New England.

Lange, after a long hiatus, has jumped back into the studio, recording brand new tracks under the name trip finn. In 2007 trip finn will release a cover version of the Blue Clocks Green cult-classic “Hemingway”.
